Welcome,

To the homepage of our inaugural Outdoor Learning Conference taking place on 18th and 19th July 2016.

A Journey of Excellence: Learning the Lessons from Scandinavia

This Early Years Conference will celebrate pedagogies originating from Scandinavia and best practice in embedding the philosophies of Child Centred Learning, Learning Rich Environments and Experiential Learning at home and abroad.

This conference will also prove very special as we celebrate the 1st birthday of Skogsmulle UK and the first group of Skogsmulle Leaders being trained in the Swedish early years pedagogy. July 2015 was the first step towards embedding this philosophy within the UK early years education system.

If you practice Forest School, or any other early years philosophy which focuses on child centred and experiential learning as well creating learning rich environments  within your early years setting then this is a conference not to be missed.

Standard 1 day delegate. May 2nd – July 17th 2016:

Includes access to 1 main day of the conference, including 1 keynote and 2 workshops, lunch and refreshments for the day. £150

This wonderful conference is a real meeting of minds when it comes to Experiential Learning, Learning Rich Environments & Child Centred Learning. We have speakers from German, Italy, Sweden, Scotland, England and Wales; so it is a real rich programme of content regarding outdoor learning and early years education.

We also want to offer other thought provokers and interested individuals the chance to reach a large audience of delegates and share their experience and interest in our innovative Teach-Meet at Dare Valley Park. This Teach-Meet is an open and free forum for individuals to come and talk about Early Years education and outdoor learning for a short time.

[Attending the Teach-Meet is free but does not provide access to the conference]

Accommodation is available on site and in the surrounding village if you are coming from afar. Accomodation bookings must be directed to the provider not Ignite UP.

Dare Valley Country Park as a Caravan site and a 3 tier camp site with affordable rates per night. With a shower block and wash facilities on site, as well as welcoming Cafe on site; a great option to stay.
