What to expect:

We are an inclusive Forest School Home Education Group for ages 3-7. Children are able to explore nature in depth and learn at their own pace in a safe and nurturing environment. Learners can play, explore, make new friends as a family and choose to work through various awards and certificates at their own pace.

We will have a range of activities on offer that will be displayed around our woodland to start at any time.  Everything we do is the children’s choice and at the children’s pace. Some children may wish to explore and watch for the first few sessions to get a feel for the space and group and that’s okay!

Who is Skogsmulle?

Skogsmulle is a beloved Swedish outdoor education character created in 1957 by Gostä Frohm. Skog is the Swedish word for forest and Mulle (pronounced like the yogurt) is the character’s name.

Mulle is a forest creature who teaches children about nature and how to care for it through story telling, play and exploration. The concept was developed to connect children with the natural world fostering curiosity, respect for the environment and a love for the outdoors.
