Our Adventure Camp is the perfect opportunity for your child to have a real and meaningful experience of camping and independent living, whilst engaging in healthy and fun old-school activities with new and old friends.
Whether your boy or girl is sporty or not; Adventure Camp provides physical activities that every child can engage with. The camp is aimed at 8-12 year olds however, we welcome a discussion with you if your child is a little older but feel they will be fine.
You arrive on Day 1. at 9.00 and drop your child off with us in the Courtyard at Dare Valley Country Park (Sat Nav CF44 7PT) and collect on Day 3. at 10.00am. During the 2 day camp your child will live and breathe the outdoors, they will have fun, learn new skills, gain independence whilst setting up their camp, helping with cooking ad making new friends.
Your child will be safe and well with our qualified and DBS checked staff, who have over 20 years combined experience running residentials and action camps, but more importantly experience of how to integrate children in activities and overnights to ensure safety and wellbeing.
We have 2 camp options during the Summer School Holiday:
Camp 1 : 24-26th July, 2017
- Full camp (residential): £65 p/p
- Day camp (drop off 9am, pick up 5pm): £50 p/p
What your child gets:
- Experienced and passionate tutors with a 1:10 adult to child ratio.
- All meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, cooked by the camp) with fruit snacks and drinks thorough out. A set menu will be released in advance of the camp taking into consideration food allergies and dietary requirements mage known to u at booking. All food is prepared freshly in the outdoors on our campfire and outdoor stoves and we are limited in the number of options we can provide.
- Equipment: Tents, Sleeping Bag, Roll mats and all specialist equipment.
What should your child bring with them?
- Changes of clothes (please check weather conditions and be prepared for Welsh weather!)
- Waterproofs (if poor weather forecasted)
- Suncream (we occasionally have great weather!)
- Water bottle (No pop or energy drinks please)
- Torch
- A small amount of pocket money optional (ice cream can be bought at the cafe).
- A small amount of sweets/treats (we will feed them well and they will not go hungry!).
