Introduction to Documenting Learning Journeys

This inspirational half day training course examines the place of consultation, pupil voice to create shared sustained thinking  in the early years and primary sector.

Suitable for: SLT, Foundation Phase & KS2 teachers, LNF/SEAL/ELSA/THRIVE leads,  Forest School & Outdoor Practitioners.

This inspirational training course (online) examines the place of consultation in the early years and primary sector and how it can positively impact upon pedagogy.

It is designed to look at the way we involve our children from the age of 0 to 11 years in planning their learning linked to the curriculum and the wellbeing act (Wales).

Aims include:

To encourage children to participate in the planning process, share knowledge and communicate their ideas.

To discuss the adult role in the consultation process through exploring the practical methodologies for recording children’s ideas, pupil voices and placing the child’s wellbeing at the centre of all planning and delivery.

The training comes with a free Floorbook & Talking Tub and includse the motivational strategies to promote effective communication and the recording through Talking and Thinking Floorbooks’, Talking TubsTM and 3-dimensional Mind-Mapping acknowledged by inspecting bodies in the UK as incredibly effective recording and evidencing tools for young children’s learning journeys and experiences.

We recommend combining this course with our observing children for involvement & wellbeing in the outdoors course to compliment this CPD.
