Skogsmulle Symposium 2017

To the homepage of the Skogsmulle  Symposium 2017 taking place on 3 – 7th August 2017.

Celebrating 60 years of Skogsmulle 1957-2017

This Early Years and Outdoors Conference will celebrate Skogsmulle practice internationally with workshops and speakers from Sweden, UK, Latvia, Japan, Finland and many more.

If you practice Forest School, or any other early years philosophy which focuses on child centred and experiential learning as well creating learning rich environments  within your setting…then this is a conference not to be missed.

The Symposium invites Skogsmulle Practitioners from Japan, Sweden, U.K. Finland, Latvia and more to share their experiences and unique cultural traits which have benefited their practice and children.

In addition to unique best-practice sharing, the Symposium also presents masterclasses to aid experienced nature pedagogues and early years teachers with tools and academic research which will aid you in creating “settings of excellence” within the Early Years.

Taking place in the beautiful country park of Dare Valley, home to 500 acres of natural wonders with waterfalls, lakes, trails and hills. This idyllic location hosts accommodation and conference facilities which makes it the perfect setting for an outdoors conference and an even better one to celebrate Skogsmulle and his friends in its 60th year. In one direction a mere 15 minutes drive is waterfall country and the Brecon Beacons National Park, and in the other direction a 30 minute journey to Wales’ vibrant capital city, Cardiff.
