A 1 day Fast Track course to enrol onto the new qualification units, map work already completed to create an  action plan for co platoon against new unit criteria.

Please note, this course does not include the 2 day Forest School training or Food Hygiene.

Forest School provides a unique way of creating a child centred learning environment which fosters independence and self esteem in children through involvement in stimulating outdoor learning activities that enhance physical, emotional, social and cognitive development.

Our Fast-Track course involves:

  • Theory is completed via our E-Learning system and can be completed at own pace (submission within 6 months of start date).
  • 3 hour Tutorial session to map completed work to new units and create an action plan to successfully complete Leader qualification.

  • 1 day Outdoor Food Hygiene at Level 2
  • 1/2 day Observation techniques
  • 2 day Forest School First Aid
  • 1/2 day intro to the floorbooks approach.

 

This course is intended to provide the skills and knowledge required to set up and deliver safe and effective Forest School programmes and for those who wish to become a Forest School Leader.

This qualification is composed of 5 modules of learning.

Topics include:

Unit 1: Forest School Programme: Learning & Development

Unit 2: Forest School Programme: Planning.

Unit 3: Forest School Programme: Delivery.

Unit 4: Forest School Programme: Practical Skills.

Unit 5: Forest School Programme: Woodland Environment.

Assessment tasks will result in each candidate producing a portfolio of evidence meeting  all assessment criteria across 5 units.
